Another frustrating morning getting off to school/kindy!
I have realised that I expect the kids to:
- always listen to me
- do what i say immediately
- do it properly
- do it quietly
- do it quickly
- be quiet
- be still
- be nice
- not argue
- have initiative
- think ahead....
ie behave like perfect adults....
hmmm....not even adults behave like perfect adults!!
I expect waaaaay too much obviously. I have just realised that my job as a parent is to teach them how to be reasonable people (they won't ever be perfect) and the reason God invented maternal/paternal love is so that we won't KILL THEM!!!
Parenting requires so much time and patience, and i need to stop making it hard for myself :-).
